Patricia Burns

I have been a member of this superb Art Society for almost two decades.  Since joining, the members, of varying abilities, have stretched my imagination and art in all mediums, as we learn from one another.  It is a truly friendly bunch!

I have given workshops that are well attended and enjoy the feed back and I have seen the results in our exhibitions that is very encouraging and rewarding.

My career started at 16 when I left school early and commenced an apprenticeship training as a lettering artist. Since then, brushes have never left my hand!  Calligraphy, gold leaf, silk screen printing to mention a few.  I’ve worked for departmental stores producing thousands of cards!  I had my own business.  A wonderful time until computers destroyed my career!

Painting took over my life and is now my passion.  Landscapes, still life, portraits, abstracts and life drawing.  I work in all mediums using brushes, palette knives and pencils.  I’m inspired by many international artists and I read a lot and this inspires me.

My work can be seen on my website: pbpaintings.co.uk and you can email me at :  pbpaintings@btinternet.com
