Fundraising presentation

At our Christmas party on 13 December, the Art Society was delighted to welcome Nicola Hall, a trustee of Mosaic, this year’s chosen charity. BAS Chair, Simon Merry presented Nicola with a cheque for £1200, the result of our fundraising in 2023, and a great total.

This has been achieved at various events including two online auctions, our regular stall at the Broadstone Musical Market and through club sales of donated art materials. We also received a sizeable donation from one of our members.

Mosaic provides much needed advice, support and counselling to bereaved children and their families in Dorset. Nicola spoke about the difficulties of raising money in today’s tough economic climate. So we are pleased to help, in a small way, towards the work of this excellent charity.
