Thea Hodgson-Vollering
I have been a member of BAS for over 15 years. My artistic journey started in the Netherlands, a move to Borneo brought me in contact with a wonderful tutor in modern Chinese painting and my love for painting was established.
Moving to Aberdeen gave me the opportunity to attend classes at the Art College, the annual open exhibition was a real challenge. Watercolour is my medium of choice and flowers are my favourite subjects. Plein Air painting, specially around the Purbecks is important to me, we are surrounded by everything we need to keep on painting.
