Dennis Hill
It was with great sadness that we learnt of the death on 14th April 2024 of our beloved friend, fellow artist and former President of Broadstone Art Society.
At nearly 100 years old, Dennis still painted on a regular basis. A true inspiration in so many ways. He will be greatly missed by us all.
Dennis painted mainly in oil, acrylic, and watercolour. He held one-man exhibitions locally. His work was bought by Poole Maritime Museum, British Petroleum, Dorset County Council, Royal Ordnance Survey, and the Russell Cotes Loan Collection. Also the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour (RI) has a watercolour of his in its permanent collection. Dennis exhibited and sold work at the RI continuously over a period of twenty years, and had work accepted by the RWA and RSMA.
