Chris Clark

Chris has been an active member of Broadstone Art Society since joining in Spring 1992.

As a mature student Chris undertook an Art 'A' level course followed by three years flexi study at Poole College with John Bowen, this, plus further courses at the College and many workshops with visiting tutors to the Art Society, gave a good basis to build on.

In 2021 a study course into the use of colour mixing, line and texture has led to ongoing exploration into working from original representational work to semi-abstract/abstract pieces.

Chris paints mainly in Acrylic but also Mixed media, watercolour and oils. She enjoys both plein air painting and studio work, portrait, still life and life drawing. Her paintings have been exhibited regularly in Dorset with Broadstone Art Society and with Sherborne Art Club, Blandford Art Club, The Gallery Upstairs open exhibitions and since 2015, at annual exhibitions in Wimborne with a group of four friends, as the Inside Out Painters, helping to raise funds for the Lewis Manning Hospice.
