Barbara Davis
I paint mostly in a non figurative way using acrylic, mixed media and collage. Interest lies in responding to the energy of my chosen subject. Colour, movement and a little bit of line are major elements of my paintings. I work intuitively, making reference to many sketchbooks and photographs taken.
Major influences are Richard Diebenkorn, Rose Hilton, Patrick Heron and Joan Mitchell.
