Gill Mullen

Gill has always enjoyed art from a young age and her pen and ink drawings were exhibited in her school magazine. Leaving art behind, Gill took up a career in teaching Science. She occasionally dabbled in watercolour and oils but family and career took up all her spare time. Gill took up Art again while looking after her father full time. It became her therapy and she joined Corfe Mullen Art Club in December 2013 where she began oil painting in earnest. Gill then attended several courses in different media which included: drawing skills, watercolour, acrylic, pastels and further oil techniques.

G‎ill then sought to join BAS to enable her to extend her interests in different media and meet many more inspiring Artists. She was delighted when asked to become a member in October 2017 and has thoroughly enjoyed her experience there to date.

Gill is now going to pursue her efforts in Acrylics which she is finding particularly challenging at the moment, having been more familiar with oils, but practice is the way forward! Here's to the future!
